At the beginning of Paul the apostle’s writings, he blessed his addressees with the words,“Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ” (see Romans 1:7; 1 Corinthians 1:3; 2 Corinthians 1:2; Galatians 1:3; Ephesians 1:2; etc.).
Paul wrote under the direction of the Holy Spirit. Accordingly, it was the will of God for him to confer upon the people the blessing of grace and peace from God and Jesus Christ. And since it was the will of God, we too can speak the blessing of grace and peace upon others.
We all need the Lord’s grace and peace in our life. Grace because it is the only means by which we can go to heaven. We also need the grace of God to help us live our daily life. No matter where you are in life today, the grace of God is sufficient for you.
Peace from God and Jesus Christ surpasses human understanding. Their peace is able to stay inner unrest when the storms of life rage. Through heavenly peace, we can keep it together when others become unglued.
Like Paul the apostle, we should make it a habit to speak upon others the blessing of grace and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. We all need these heavenly blessings in our life.
Do you at times thank God for His grace and peace in your life?
